In this section we discuss all diseases, disorders and other dysfunctions where cannabinoids are reported to have therapeutic potential.
For some diseases there is substantial preclinical and clinical trial data to indicate therapeutic properties of cannabinoids where for other diseases the described therapeutic properties are purely anecdotal.
Here, we review the available scientific literature, judge its scientific value and break it down to patients and the general public in laymen’s terms.
In addition, we will indicate the cannabinoid receptors, endocannabinoids and plant cannabinoids that are associated with the disease process or potential therapy and list the cannabis strains that are best matched with the required cannabinoid profile.
The vast majority of citations on this website refer to PubMed (the US National Library of Medicine, NIH).
To use this site, just enter search terms such as “cancer” and “cannabinoid”. In the left-hand column there are options to filter for instance on Clinical Trials, Review articles or Free Full Text papers.
The information sections on diseases, cannabinoids, receptors etc. are under continuous development and will be updated with advancing scientific insights and according to public demand/response.
