Introduction

THCB is a phytocannabinoid analogous to THC. THCB interacts with CB1 and CB2 receptors in a similar way as THC. The effects of THCB are probably similar to the ones of THC.

Literature Discussion

THCB and CBDB have been identified in the italian medical cannabis strain FM2. THCB showed higher binding affinity for the CB1 receptor when compared to THC binding affinity. However, binding affinity was similar for the CB2 receptor. The effects of THCB were tested in animals, showing similar effects as THC (Linciano et al., 2019).
