CB2

CB2 is primarily expressed in the immune cells and tissues of the body. Like CB1, CB2 is a G protein-coupled receptor which inhibits adenylyl cyclase and consequently lowers cAMP upon activation. This, in turn, regulates many second messenger pathways.

Cancer

In spite of the increasing scientific interest to understand how cannabinoids can help to treat cancer disease, symptoms and the associated chemotherapy side effects, the existing scientific evidence is not enough to satisfy the clinical criteria to consider cannabinoids as a part of the treatment.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is an auto-immune disease characterized by itchy skin lesions. Psoriasis arises when the immune system mistakenly identifies skin cells as foreign matter and causes over-production of new skin cells.

Eczema

Eczema or dermatitis is a (chronic) inflammation of the skin. Eczema is marked by itchy skin and crusty skin lesions. It is not known what exactly causes Eczema but an over-active immune system may at least be part of the cause.

AIDS

The Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome is caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus. HIV/AIDS attacks cells of the immune system making the body more susceptible to infections and tumors.

COPD

COPD is a chronic lung disease. To date, no cure exists for COPD and therefore most treatments focus on reducing symptoms and suppressing discomfort.
